Mountain Park Ranch maintains three beautiful recreational areas that include pool, spa, tennis courts, children’s pool and playground area, volleyball and picnic areas for our members to use. Let’s work together as a community to keep these areas clean and safe for all to use.

Preserving our Mountainsides, by Karin, MPRHOA Homeowner

We’re all proud of the natural desert beauty and hillsides of Mountain Park Ranch. We live in a beautiful desert habitat. It’s called a “preserve” because many residents are preserving it for the common good. Recently, however, people have been ignoring signs and creating their own paths over the natural setting of wildlife, cacti, and desert vegetation of the MPR Preserve. This impacts the desert habitat by creating new unsanctioned paths through the mountainsides, creating unsightly trails and hastening erosion. We share a fragile desert environment and it is everyone’s responsibility to maintain it in its natural state.

Many of these hikers may be well-intentioned residents who don’t realize they are degrading the natural desert environment. Many of these people are just unaware of the harm they are doing. They pay their association fees, just like the rest of us do. However, those who hike and bike the unsanctioned trails force the HOA to spend funds to replace damaged signs and mitigate the damage caused by those who consider their individual rights more important than the collective rights of the community.

The big attraction for most of us in this mountain preserve is simple—it’s the most beautiful preserve in the area—the envy of Phoenix, set aside not only for us, but for future generations. We believe the majority of MPR residents want to preserve this resource and our home values.
